To be effective under the DMCA, a written notice must include: (a) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or someone authorized to act on their behalf; (b) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (c) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including information reasonably sufficient to let us locate it (such as a URL or in-app description); (d) your contact information, including full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email; (e) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (f) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
If your material was removed or disabled and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice including: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and telephone number; and your consent to the jurisdiction of a U.S. federal court in the district of your address (or, if outside the U.S., the District of Delaware), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice.
In accordance with the DMCA and our Terms of Service, we may, in appropriate circumstances, disable or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe others' copyrights.
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees.
