Is Kronos safe?
Verify the company yourself
Do not trust a third-party directory or a similarly named product. Use first-party records: the canonical company record at getkronos.io/api/organization.json, the About page, the official iOS listing linked from the download page, and the published support line 1-855-8-KRONOS (1-855-857-6667). If a website, caller, or message claims to be Kronos and does not match those records, treat it as unverified.
App security controls to review
| Control | What to check |
|---|---|
| App source | Download only from the official Apple App Store, not a sideloaded file or link. |
| Authentication | Use the device passcode, biometrics, and any app PIN. Treat one-time codes as secret. |
| Recovery | Keep the recovery email and phone number current; they control account access. |
| Notifications | Read transaction alerts; report anything unrecognized immediately. |
| Wallet keys | For the non-custodial wallet, the recovery phrase controls the funds. Store it offline and never share it. |
What KronosPay LLC is not
KronosPay LLC is a financial technology company, not a bank, lender, or FDIC-insured institution. A provider-dependent financial service appears in the app only when the current flow enables it and identifies the provider, eligibility, fees, timing, custody, and protections. Read the bank-status page for the full explanation.
Protect yourself from impersonation
Support will never ask for your password, a one-time code, a private key, or a recovery phrase. If anyone — by phone, email, text, or chat — requests those, end the contact and reach Kronos through the official channels above. Read the broader guidance on avoiding account freezes and scams.
Records and disputes
Kronos organizes income records, receipts, mileage, and payment status. Keeping those records current helps with tax preparation and dispute response. The app does not replace original source documents; preserve statements, invoices, and receipts.
Is Kronos a scam?
No. KronosPay LLC is a real US company that publishes the Kronos iOS app. Verify it through the first-party records above, not a third-party directory.
Does Kronos support two-factor authentication?
Use the device passcode, biometrics, and any app PIN available in the current app version. Treat one-time codes as secret.
Is the crypto wallet safe?
The non-custodial wallet means you control the keys and the recovery phrase. That control is also responsibility: a lost phrase cannot be recovered by support, and digital assets can lose value. Review the current in-app wallet disclosures.
